Level Isolator LI-1This isolator is designed for the Electronic Centralised Blasting System, based on Model CBC-1 Control Unit and Model 571C Boosters. It is located at each station.
Operation
- It joins the inter-level shaft supply cables, which are normally interconnected to the outgoing cable, supplying all the Boosters in one level.
- It continuously indicates the state of the Centralised Blasting cable network.
- A lever Isolator key switch permits isolation of outgoing level supply cable and permits rapid location of short circuit faults.
- In ISOLATED mode the downstream level feed cable is connected to the TEST terminals, permitting testing of the cable for short circuit faults.
Storage and maintenance
All service work to be done by authorised AEC Electronics personnel.
